NOSA is a Swedish MedTech company pioneering intra-nasal innovation to increase quality of life through nasal breathing. We strive to make people live their lives to the fullest and enjoy their surroundings, rather than being limited by it.
We are working with solving issues related to breathing and the olfactory system, such as bad odor, infections, allergies and smell disorders. We know that the mucous membranes in the nose are sensitive and are easily exposed to harmful particles. If we can protect the nose, we can help individuals in various situations to enjoy their surroundings instead of being limited by it.
Since march 2023, Nosa Plugs AB is the parent company to NoseOption AB and NoseOption Inc. Nosa Plugs AB is listed at Nasdaq First North Stockholm.

What we offer
Our product portfolio includes nose filters and nose plugs that efficiently removes and filters out the unwanted and what’s potentially bad for you, such as viruses, bacteria, bad odors or allergens. Our product range also includes a smell training kit to improve the sense of smell. All our products are patented, discrete and easy to breathe through.
Our story
NOSA’s journey started with the Swedish nurse Susanna who had been struggling with bad odors in her daily work for a long time. The idea was to improve the working environment by developing an effective odor protection that in a discreet way could enable people to breathe without constraint.
Several years of product development resulted in the launch of NOSA plugs – the first discreet odor protection in the world, which were launched in 2017. NOSA odor control is a unique patented product which is used by healthcare professionals, police, ambulance, fire fighters and many others across Europe & North America.
A few years later, the product assortment was expanded with a new consumer product: NOSA allergy filter. The effective filter catches and filters particles in the air inhaled of size PM 10 such as pollen, pet dander, dust and mold. The product is a medical device class 1 and is available at pharmacies and e-stores within the EU.
Since virus and bacteria can spread and infect through the nasal mucosa and upper respiratory tract, we have been working on a nasal device that can reduce the amount of active virus and bacteria in the air inhaled through the nose. When the covid-19 pandemic hit the world, it became very important to launch an effective solution that we believed could make a big difference. The result was NOSA microbial control – a nasal device that reduces the amount of active virus and bacteria in the air inhale through the nose. The device was a discreet alternative, easy to use in everyday-life.
In November 2023 NOSA launched a CE-marked smell training medical device. The product’s purpose is to help individuals to recover their sense of smell, and therefore to increase quality of life. The training program is developed together with one of the world’s leading scientists within smell.
